    The Highwaymen are a group of black artists consisting of 26 members, starting in the mid 1950’s, that were loosely associated and living in the area of Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce. In 1994, curator Jim Fitch coined the name The Highwaymen. This group has achieved many positive benchmarks since 1994.
